Aw, unfortunately, I couldn't catch the show. Mumford and Sons were playing at the same time, and I'd already seen Freelance Whales before…

Their show at my school (Brandeis) in the spring was AMAZING though.

I love Freelance Whales!
Did their concert go well?
Good questions. I thought your opening question was good, not TOO typical! (I always wondered that myself...)

Since PS1 canned it's long standing curator of Warm Up for no reason except now the MoMA staff has moved in to take over since the director who created PS1 left a year and a half ago, the series has lost the caliber it had the past 10 years. DFA was brought in 3 years ago by Jason Drummond and now they've hired people who have little or no experience curating a series that had such critical acclaim. If it 'ain't' broke, why fix it... But all in all, always a awesome spot to enjoy outdoor/indoor activities.

[...] Jelly Presents: Saturdays at Rock Yard Check out JellyNYC’s brand spanking new outdoor space by the water between S. 2nd and S. 4th in Williamsburg. Surrounded by essentially nothingness, the Rock Yard is an all-ages playground oasis, and offers the kind of Saturday afternoon where you can slip n’ slide with a beer in hand while listening to live music by Total Slacker (Aug. 14) or Motel Motel (Aug. 28).
